Sour Corrosion Test Facility - InnoTech Alberta
The Sour Corrosion Test Facility at the Devon Research Centre is used for corrosion studies under the presence of hydrogen sulfide, such as sulfide stress cracking, hydrogen embrittlement and hydrogen-induced cracking.
The facility is capable of testing conditions up to 300 °C, 345 bar (5,000 psi) in autoclaves with 4L and 7.5L capacities. The facility includes a mechanical test frame with slow strain rate and cyclic loading capabilities coupled with a pull-through autoclave for mechanical testing under environments up to 320 °C, 136 bar (2,000 psi).
