The Ignition Quality Test Laboratory is equipped with three CFR ignition quality engines.  These engines are used to evaluate gasoline and diesel according to the requirements specified in ASTM D2699, ASTM D2700, and ASTM D613.

Our engine experts can also provide engine operation and maintenance training courses and on-site engine rebuild and overhaul services to operators in the North American petroleum industry.

As an active member of the Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB), National Exchange Group (D02.01 NEG), and Rocky Mountain Regional Exchange, we contribute to method development and improvement and share our knowledge about these improvements with our industry partners.
