Fuel Testing Laboratory

InnoTech Alberta’s Fuel Testing Laboratory has been in operation since 1939. The laboratory is Canada’s leading facility for evaluating fossil-based and renewable fuels for conformance to fuel specifications governed by the Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) and ASTM International. Some of the services the laboratory can provide are: 

• Acting as a referee laboratory for disputes in testing results 
• Conducting tax-exempt fuel analysis 
• Fuel remediation: Consultation and onsite fuel treatment  
• Delivering training courses on product specifications, test method operation, and significance 
• Conducting Fuel Characteristics Surveys: Providing customers with expert advice and technical information on the characteristics and trends of gasoline and diesel marketed across Canada
