LIAMforum is a meeting place for thought leaders involved in sustainable resource development, with a focus on inspiring and empowering the next generation to get involved and take actionable, results-oriented steps to help tackle key sustainable resource development challenges facing the world.
LIAMforum provides a platform for young people to discuss their ideas, vision and role in tackling the challenges we face today. A platform for thought leaders and participants from academia, industry, think tanks, multi-lateral institutions and governments, to share their ideas and concerns with, and listen to, the next generation.
LIAMforum aims to help close the gap between the disengaged and the engaged.
InnoTech Alberta’s own Brian Eaton, Manager of Environmental Impacts, and Gary Fisher, Expert Researcher of Advanced Materials & Monitoring, will be speaking in a panel on Day 3 of the event entitled From Ideas to Reality: Incubators, Accelerators & Commercialization Hubs.

From Ideas to Reality: Incubators, Accelerators & Commercialization Hubs Gen Zs want to see a better, fairer, cleaner and more sustainable world become reality. But just wishing it will not move the needle. Action is required. In this panel we bring together institutions, such as incubators and accelerators, where Gen Zs could go with their ideas, or join young companies that are advancing great ideas, and help turn them into reality. The toughest part of a journey is often the first step. By familiarizing themselves with the innovation ecosystem, Gen Zs will gain confidence to act and get involved, get noticed and become part of the innovation ecosystem that is, at this very moment, advancing many spectacular (and often surprising) initiatives that will, without a doubt, help make the world a better place.
