InnoTech Alberta’s Air and Gas Analysis Laboratory has the capabilities to perform different types of air quality analyses including:
- Particulate matter collected on membrane filters or polyurethane foam plugs (PUFs)
- Mass of Particulate Matter captured
- Elemental analysis by ICP-MS
- Water-soluble cations by ICP-MS
- Major ions by ion chromatography (IC)
- Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) collected on adsorbent tubes by GC-MS
- Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) collected on PUFs by GC-MS
- Ambient air samples collected in sampling canisters or Tedlar bags
- Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by GC-MS
- Reduced sulphur compounds (RSC) by GC-SCD
- Light hydrocarbon analysis by GC-FID
- Permanent gases (inerts) by GC-TCD
