Meet us at the Carbon Capture Canada Exhibition September 10 and 11th to discuss how we de-risk and scale second generation carbon capture technologies.
By connecting with technology developers and users across the industry at event like Carbon Capture Canada, we are constantly identifying the emerging challenges industry face, allowing us to identify and kick-start the development of new solutions; big and small that will not only help reduce and capture emissions, but bring down the cost of doing it as well.
For example, InnoTech’s Amine Intensification Project received recognition as an emerging CO2 capture technology advancement in the 2024 Global Carbon Capture Institute (GCCSI) Compendium.
While the CO2 capture process using Amine is a well-established technology, the traditional operating process has potential for improvement and advancement.
Our Amine Intensification Process reduces energy requirements by 75% through the application and use of microwaves and water lean solvents (WLS).
The challenge of traditional amine processing is the amount of energy required, and consequently the cost and carbon footprint associated with it. This is mitigated through the application of microwaves, which delivers the energy at the molecular level using electromagnetic radiation, without the requirement for heating the bulk of the solvent and release CO2 faster at lower temperatures. Utilization of microwave technology in combination with water lean solvent makes a step change in the advancement of the technology.
Join us to discuss how our projects and advanced facilities give our clients access the key to developing greenhouse gas reduction technologies guided by the expertise of our applied research team.
