Lisa Shi has been with our organization since 2011 and is the supervisor of the Metals and Inorganic Gravimetry Laboratory for InnoTech Alberta. Throughout her career, Lisa has shown that she can balance the academic side of her work experience with conducting applied scientific research and producing high-quality results for our clients.
In her role, Lisa manages the work of the laboratory; maintains, troubleshoots, upgrades, and replaces analytical methods and equipment such as ICP-MS, IC, microbalance, microwave, ultra-trace clean system, spectrometers, in response to new regulatory and business requirements; reviews, improves, and validates existing analytical methodologies for water, wastewater, soil, industrial waste solids, oil, tissue, and filter samples; write, revises, and updates existing standard operating procedures; and develops and validates new methods for internal and external clients with special requirements.
Lisa enjoys working at InnoTech Alberta because of the core principles of accountability, integrity, and respect she says make us a leader in research and innovation. She believed the knowledge and skills of her colleagues can contribute to company values and in return, we maintain and improve our competence.
In her personal time, Lisa likes to enjoy being in nature with her family and friends. She is an avid gardener and hiker.
