
InnoTech Alberta showcased its latest advancements at the 2025 Canadian Hydrogen Convention, engaging attendees with energy solutions and technology that promise to transform the future

of sustainable energy in Alberta.
From presentations to panels, InnoTech’s Team Hydrogen brought out their best, creating opportunities for collaboration across the province and the globe.
Highlights of the convention included a meeting with a delegation from Japan’s Kumamoto prefecture, a live demonstration of creating hydrogen from wastewater, and various presentations on advancements in hydrogen technology; such as, activating hydrogen technology and innovation in Alberta, carbon fibre precursors from methane pyrolysis, and hydrogen pipeline testing and testing infrastructure.

To cap off a successful week of energy innovation and collaboration, InnoTech opened its doors for an open house event. Attendees had the opportunity to learn more about the Hydrogen Centre of Excellence, its impact on Alberta’s energy future, and see the work being done first-hand in InnoTech’s labs.
InnoTech Alberta remains at the forefront of energy innovation, and this year’s Canadian Hydrogen Convention has only ignited the enthusiasm for hydrogen’s place in Alberta’s energy future.
